A molded EVA foam brick for the floor: set it under a hand in a standing pose, sit on it when the hips are not yet awake, or hold it between the knees to keep a line honest. The foam is dense enough to take weight without folding and returns to shape once you step off.
Faces are lightly textured, so a damp palm has something to hold on to, and the material is odorless - it can come out of the wrap and straight onto the mat. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and let it air dry.
